Tribute

To one of the greats I knew

Victoria,

I’m finding it hard to put into words how much your friendship means to me. You are among the few of my friends who gave me a reason to keep pushing myself to improve, simply because of your advice and your achievements.  I remember one time you told me a quote by Winston Churchill: Failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts. Coming from you, Victoria, that quote meant so much because you said it to me when I failed my pre-mocks in Year 11. When mocks came, post mocks, and also the finals, I did well, not only because of the quote but also because of the numerous times you forcefully prevented me from playing football, to help me in English and literature, and also telling me to revise. For that, I am eternally grateful.

I miss you, Victoria.

Rest in eternal peace. Until we meet again.
